Real Madrid have ruled out the chance to sign Manchester United goalkeeper David De Gea as Zidane is keen to have Keylor Navas in between posts for the next season as well considering his stellar season for the Los Blancos in which the side was crowned UEFA Champions league champions. The Costa Rican goalkeeper was instrumental in Real Madrid journey to the title and he kept them in the game with some crucial saves at critical junctures of the tournament.
The star keeper De Gea has long been the target for the European champions and there was a chance that the Spaniard would make the move this summer after the fax machine fiasco towards the end of 2015.
A meeting held between the shot-stopper’s agent Jorge Mendes and Real’s hierarchy confirmed that the club’s goalkeeping options will not change this summer according to Marca.
De Gea has been a quality goalkeeper for the past few years and earlier in May he won Manchester United’s player of the year for the third consecutive season which is a glaring example of the skill set and talent he possesses.
