Sethi proposes to rename Gaddafi stadium as a tribute to Edhi
Lahore: Chairman of PCB’s executive committee Najam Sethi has said that he wants the PCB to rename the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore to Edhi Stadium.
In a tweet on Sunday Sethi said that as a tribute and to recognize the services of Abdul Sattar Edhi the name of Gaddafi stadium should be changed and he requested the Board of Governors to approve his request by mutual consent.
I propose to change the name of Lahore’s Gadafi Stadium to Edhi Stadium. PCB BoG members may kindly approve my request.

As a tribute to the famous philanthropist and devoted social activist Abdul Sattar Edhi, Pakistan Hockey Federation has also announced to rename Hockey Club of Pakistan Karachi after his name.
PHF president Brig(R) Khalid Sajjad Kokhar while expressing his views said “Abdul Sattar Edhi was a great humanitarian and a dedicated social activist and he feels honored to rename Hockey Club of Pakistan as Abdul Sattar Edhi Hockey Stadium.”
On the other end PCB executive committee chairman Najam Sethi has also suggested renaming Gaddafi stadium Lahore as ‘Abdul Sattar Edhi Stadium’ and has asked the PCB governing body for their approval.
