Sindh picks up Mohammad Amir in Pakistan cup draft
The draft for the Pakistan Cup ODI tournament took place in Lahore today where the 5 teams finalized the players that will play for the respective sides. The captain and coaching panel of every side was already decided and they were the ones who picked out the best possible squads to feature in the tournament out of a total of 150 players.
According to reports the Sindh team picked up Pakistan fast bowler Mohammad Amir alongside Imad Wasim and Anwar Ali. Meanwhile the Federal side led by Misbah-ul-Haq picked up experienced campaigner in the form of Kamran Akmal and also Mohammad Irfan and Sharjeel Khan.
As far as the Punjab side is concerned they made an interesting choice in the shape of Salman Butt, who made his return after the spot fixing scandal a couple of months ago. The KPK side picked up talented upcoming spinner Mohammad Asghar and not to forget opener Ahmed Shehzad. The Balochistan side made some decent choices and roped in Junaid Khan, Saeed Ajmal, Umar Akmal and Sohail Tanvir who are all good exponents of T20 cricket.
Pakistan’s former skipper Shahid Afridi opted not to play in this tournament due to some personal issues which is why he was not picked up by any side. Nobody picked up Mohammad Asif in their squad.
