Australian skipper Steve Smith is looking forward to the must win clash against the West Indies on Wednesday which is a virtual semi-final for the World Champions.
Smith added that such matches are good for cricket and will help in the development of the team as they will be tested through knockout pressure. He was confident that his players will go all out for a win and hopefully win the tri-nation series as well.
Australia’s previous game was washed out due to rain against South Africa which meant that they now have to beat West Indies for head back home.
“It’s always nice to play in finals or to have things that replicate finals, to bring out high-pressure situations,” Smith said earlier this week, prior to a washed-out clash with South Africa according to cricket.com.au.
“Seeing how the guys respond to those situations is going to be important for us as well.
“I know the guys want to be in the final, they want to win this series.”
