Some unforgettable moments from Wrestlemania 31

Wrestlemania 31 was a World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) pay per view (PPV) which took place on March 29th, 2015 at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California.

The PPV was well received by the WWE fans and is also cited as one of the best Wrestlemanias ever.

The event gave us some of the unforgettable moments in WWE history such as Undertaker’s return to the ring, Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Bantamweight Champion Ronda Rousey’s segment with The Rock and many more.

Undertaker returns after a year:

The Phenom Undertaker returned to the squared circle after nearly a year after his shock loss to former WWE World Heavyweight Champion Brock Lesnar, which ended his undefeated streak at the grandest stage of them all Wrestlemania.

He defeated the self proclaimed “new face of fear” Bray Wyatt, who was challenging the Deadman for a match at the PPV.

The Undertaker indeed proved that it is indeed his yard.

Ronda Rousey and The Rock confront Triple H and Stephanie McMahon:

The Rock interfered the power couple Triple H and Stephanie McMahon as they were stating that how WWE was progressing because of them and how they owned every fan and superstar in the back.

The Million Dollar Princess slapped The Rock and asked whether he would hit a woman. The Rock replied, “I won’t hit a woman but I have a friend who would be glad to”.

He headed towards the UFC Bantamweight Champion Ronda Rousey who was seated in the front row of the stands. She jumped the barricade over and entered the ring.

Stephanie understood that she was caught in a difficult position as she tried to talk her way out of the crisis by claiming that how Rousey was a good friend of her.

McMahon told Rousey to get out of her ring on which she replied that whatever ring she enters is hers.

The principal owner made matters worse by trying to slap the UFC star. she judo tossed Triple H out of the ring and grabbed Stephanie in a standing armbar. She released McMahon’s armbar after a few moments.

NWO and DX interfere in Sting vs Triple H match:

The two of the most famous stables in the Monday Night Wars New World Order (NWO) and Degeneration X (DX) interfered went head to head during the Triple H vs Sting match to support their respective brands’ superstar.

Triple H won the no disqualification match and went on to shake hands with each other thus ending their rivalry.

The two groups also shook each other’s hands as a mark of respect.

Legends celebrated Daniel Bryan’s Intercontinental Championship win:

Daniel Bryan defeated Bad News Barrett, R-Truth, Dean Ambrose, Luke Harper, Dolph Ziggler and Stardust in a ladder match to win his first Intercontinental Championship.

During the backstage interview with Renee Young, WWE Hall of Famers Pat Patterson, Ricky “The Dragon” Steamboat, Bret Hart, Ric Flair and Rowdy Roddy Piper congratulated Brian of his victory and chanted his trademark slogan “YES” with him.

Randy Orton amazing RKO:

In his match against WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins, the “Apex Predator” Randy Orton hit an amazing RKO as tossed Rollins in the air and hit his finisher and score the win.

It was indeed a “RKO out of nowhere”.

Note: Seth Rollins won the WWE World Heavyweight Championship later that night by cashing in his Money In The Bank contract during the bout between Brock Lesnar and Roman Reigns.

Rusev’s entrance in his match against John Cena:

Former United States (U.S.) Champion Rusev arrived in a tank for his match against US Champion John Cena.

This was indeed a unique moment and Rusev’s entrance theme was purely based on the Russian military.
