T20 ranking, Pakistan slides to 7th position
Dubai: ICC announces the new ranking for T20 format, Pakistan looses a position slipping to 7th position.
According to International Cricket Council (ICC) West Indies tops the rankings of shortest format T20 cricket, to follow is Australia at 2nd position while Sri Lanka lost its second position and went to 3rd by losing against New Zealand. England is at number 4, South Africa number 5, New Zealand 6, Pakistan 7, India 8, Afghanistan 9 and Bangladesh 10 in terms of ranking.
In the T20 format none of the Pakistani batsman succeeded in taking position among the top 10. Among the best batsman list Australia’s Aaron Finch stood at first position, India’s Virat Kohli second, England’s Hales third, South Africa’s Faf du Plessis fourth and New Zealand’s captain B.B McCullum on fifth position. In the best bowlers list Pakistan’s Shahid Afridi was the only one taking a sixth position. Sunil Narine holds the top position despite his suspension on illegal bowling action. Badree is at position 2, Senanayake at 3, Malinga at 4 and Ashwin at 5th position.
According to ICC’s ranking Bangladesh’s Shakib Al Hasan is declared as the best All-rounder, Shahid Afridi as second, S.Watson at third and Hafeez at number four.
