T20 world cup impossible to boycott says ‘Shahryar Khan’.
Karachi: Chairman PCB Shahryar Khan says I am hopeful for an early revival of Pak-India series but T20 world cup is an ICC’s event which no team can boycott.
While speaking to the media in Karachi the chairman PCB said India’s foreign minister Sushma Swaraj’s visit to Pakistan was very positive and we are hopeful Pak-India cricket would begin soon, we do not expect the Pathankot air base attack to affect Pakistan India cricket. He said Yasir Shah is a simple person, he un intentionally took his wife’s blood pressure medicine, therefore based on this we would request the ICC to give minimal punishment to Yasir.
Shahryar Khan said Amir’s visa issue would be settled in a couple of days and soon he’ll be issued a visa which was delayed due to closure of embassy for Christmas holidays. We will soon contact New Zealand High Commission regarding Amir. He said Australia has committed a mistake by not sending it’s under19 team to Bangladesh due to security reasons for which our sympathies are with Bangladesh. Replying to a question he said T20 world cup is an ICC’s event which no team can afford to boycott.
