The blues downfall continues
Chelsea manger Jose Mourinho has been under all sorts of criticisms after the defending champions suffered another blow at the hands of Liverpool at Stamford Bridge as the Blues lost 3-1 after taking the lead in the early stages of the match.
The Chelsea side backed out a bit after that early goal as they looked to stop any threats from the Reds rather than going on the offensive themselves. This cost them badly as they the Reds equalised courtesy a stunner from Coutinho in the final play of the first half. Liverpool scored twice in the second half as the Reds claimed a historic win at the home of the Blues after 4 years.
The holders have now lost 6 out of their 11 games this season and are just above the relegation zone.
Despite the pressure Jose Mourinho is confident that he will not be sacked because when asked about the chances of it he replied with an adamant “No”
Jose denied all rumors of dressing room mutiny as he said that the players are trying hard to win and everyone knows that. He also added that players are sad and disturbed over their poor run off form in all competitions. (Quotes via AFP)
“The fans are not stupid. They know how much myself and the players are trying,”
“The fight goes on, but sometimes there are fights very impossible to win.
“I have some players really sad in the dressing room and I am full of respect for them.”
Chelsea next face Dynamo Kyiv in their Champions League clash and will come up against Stoke City in their next Premier League clash as the Blues look to put their season on the right track.
