The decline started after Misbah left- Rashid Latif
Pakistan’s former wicket keeper batsman Rashid Latif has criticized the way things are being run in Pakistan cricket and blamed PCB for the majority of the problems Pakistan cricket is facing right now.
Talking to media in an interview Rashid said that the decision to make Waqar Younis the head coach was a terrible mistake. He added that his advice for Moin Khan was to not leave the coaching role but he instead opted for the job of chief selector against his advice.
Rashid Latif bashed former PCB chairman Zaka Ashraf’s decision to remove Misbah as captain and appoint Mohammad Hafeez as captain because that according to him is the reason behind Pakistan’s decline in international cricket and especially the shorter formats.
Latif was also unhappy with the improper decision making in Pakistan cricket because he believes that the PCB makes the same errors time and again which is precisely the reason why Pakistan cricket is in a sorry state right now.
Pakistan play their final group stage of the World T20 in India on Friday against Australia and their chances of survival depends on how some of the other results pan out but as of now it’s highly unlikely that they will go through.
