Two foreigners refuse to become PCB media managers
After the refusal of two foreigners to become Pakistan team media managers, Pakistan cricket board has decided to rely on their own media managers for the England tour.
Brian Murgatroyd from Britain had demanded 3.5million rupees to work as media manager for uplifting Pakistan team’s image in England but PCB refused to pay such a heavy amount for a 9 week tour. Similarly another foreigner Peter Obone declined to accept the task due to his earlier planned commitments.
Under such a situation, the PCB Director and the General Manager will be alternately visiting England to handle the English media.
The PCB chairman Shahryar Khan confirmed on Sunday that Agha Akbar is being sent with the senior team instead of Pakistan’s A team, whereas in the second part of the series PCB’s Director media, Amjad Hussain Bhatti will handle media issues.
Last week the chairman PCB showed his concern of having a weak media department and said “ We need to improve this area and make it more vibrant.” But now it seems the most difficult task has been given to the weakest department to handle the English media.
