Umpires helped India in beating Bangladesh, says Wajid
DHAKA: Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has said that India defeated her country in the World Cup quarter-final against with the help of the umpires, ARYSports.tv reported.
According to sources, Bangladeshi PM Wajid reportedly stated that Bangladesh would have progressed to the semi-final stage of the World Cup if there had been no umpiring errors.
She has apparently endorsed the statements of Bangladeshi International Cricket Council (ICC) President Mustafa Kamal claiming that the match was fixed.
Kamal has also threatened to quit his post over the umpiring and stated that he cannot represent Indian Cricket Council.
Earlier, protests erupted across the country over the umpiring whereas angry protesters burned the effigy of Pakistani umpire Aleem Dar.
