The venue of Mohammad Waseem’s World Boxing Council Silver flyweight title fight against Philippine’s Jether Olivia has been shifted from Singapore to Seoul, South Korea.
The change of venue has not created any impact on the firm confidence of Muhammad ‘Falcon’ Waseem.
Waseem’s promoter told Express Tribune, “The venue has been changed and the fight will now take place at Hilton Hotel in Seoul,” he further added, “But it is a title bout and Waseem is in great shape. Even at the WBC 30 days weigh in, he was ripped.”
Waseem, who has recently turned pro, lacks experience as compared to his competitor Jether Olivia, who has fought 31 bouts so far and ranked at 57th spot at the moment.
However, the 28-year old Waseem has an impressive record in the amateur boxing and now he is training at Floyd Mayweather Jr’s gym at Las Vegas that can put him in a better position.
The 28-year old, who hails from Quetta, has so far registered all three of his professional victories by knocking out his opponent early in the match.
Waseem is confident over the training he is undergoing and said, “It is a dream to win the world title and it will be huge for me and Pakistan, so I’m training harder than ever. I’m confident that I will win the bout. I’m learning a lot about my game, thanks to Jeff Mayweather’s coaching.”
