West Indies declines PCB’s offer for a short tour to Pakistan
West Indies Cricket Board has not accepted PCB’s invitation of a short tour to Pakistan. Pakistan Cricket board asked the WICB to play a couple of limited over games of the series that is scheduled in September and October later this year in the UAE.
The WICB has declined PCB’s offer of coming to Pakistan due security concerns, the West Indian Board said that they cannot send their team to Pakistan in the current law and order situation in the country.
However, the home series of Pakistan will be played in their second home, UAE as per the schedule.
Afghanistan was all set to visit Pakistan in April for a brief series, but, they stepped back after the horrible terrorist attack in Lahore that killed 72 innocent people.
Pakistan is deprived of international cricket since March 2009, when terrorists targeted the touring Sri Lankan team in Lahore while they were heading towards the stadium.
