The top ranked test bowler of the world, Yasir Shah has urged his fans to call him by his name instead of the Argentinean football star, Lionel Messi.
Talking to BBC, Yasir Shah responded on a question regarding his resemblance with Messi,”Messi is a superstar, I am myself a huge fan of his, but, still, I would still request to call me by my name.”
He termed Shane Warne as his all time favourite bowler and Mushtaq Ahmed as his teacher, he coined it ‘good luck’ that when he was shining in Lord’s, both of them were present there.
He said Mushtaq was guiding him, whereas, Shane Warne was talking about him in the commentary box.
He revealed that he only focused on bowling in a particular area at Lord’s and succeeded in it, which gave him success on the big occasion.
Yasir Shah bowled brilliantly in the opening test match of the four-match test series against England at Lord’s, he took 10 wickets for 141 runs in the match, which is even better than his hero’s match figures at the Home of Cricket.
Pakistan is leading the series with 1-0, the second test match will played from Friday at Old Trafford, Manchester.
