Younis Khan was served a show cause notice by the Pakistan Cricket Board on Tuesday for his act of leaving Pakistan Cup in the midway and asked for explanation in the next seven days.
PCB has released another official statement on Wednesday that in response to the show cause notice, the veteran middle order batsman, Younis Khan has once again apologized to the Chairman PCB for his inappropriate conduct.
Shahryar Khan has accepted his apology for the second time in three days; he has also hailed Younis Khan’s services for Pakistan and has allowed him to rejoined Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in Pakistan Cup.
“Younis has served Pakistan cricket for a number of years and he has developed a shining reputation in Pakistan and abroad. While this incident is unfortunate, I am glad to note that Younis has admitted his mistake,” said Shahryar Khan.
Younis Khan apologized to PCB Chairman on Monday as well and showed his willingness to play in the Pakistan Cup again. But, PCB turned down Younis’ apology on Tuesday and slapped him with a show cause notice and also stopped him to represent KPK in the tournament.
Ahmed Shahzad has been leading Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in absence of Younis Khan.
