ICC president Zaheer Abbas has said that he would ask the BCCI to consider including Pakistani players in Indian Premier League.
While talking to reporters on Wednesday the former Asian Bradman said that it is the need of the time for Pakistan and India to improve their relations and start bilateral series between the two nations sooner rather than later. Zaheer Abbas has also been invited to watch the IPL final on Sunday in Bangalore.
“It would raise the importance and status of the league.” said Zaheer Abbas.
“I have accepted the invitation [to watch the IPL final] and it is a good opportunity for me to again highlight the importance of resuming bilateral cricket ties although they are obviously subject to government clearances,” he said.
“I think any government hurdles in the way of having a bilateral series should be removed,” he added.
