PSL chairman Najam Sethi announced that they will look to host eight-ten games in Pakistan during the third edition that will be held in the early part of 2018.
The final of last season was conducted in Qaddafi Stadium of Lahore which is considered to be a major step for international cricket’s return to Pakistan.
Also, the recent successful tour of Sri Lankan team increased chances to visit international teams in Pakistan.
Earlier, Sethi stated that the board wants to hold two to four matches in Karachi.
The good news is that the representatives from security consultancy firm Eastern Star International, which works with the International Cricket Council, the Federation of International Cricketers Associations and other such bodies, also visited the National Stadium of Karachi on Monday to compile their report on the venue’s security arrangements and seems to have given them a positive review.
For the third season, the buzz is that the PSL final will be held in Karachi and with Sethi now indicating that a total of 8-10 games will be played in Pakistan, it will be interesting to see which city will host the final this year.
