4-Nation Men’s Hockey: Pakistan beats South Korea


HOBART: Pakistan has bagged the first victory in the Four-Nation Men’s Hockey tournament by defeating South Korea in Hobart today.

The Green shirts playing their third match of the tournament thrashed South Korea by 4-1.

Both the teams failed to score goal in the first quarter but in the second quarter Pakistan played aggressively and posted three goals. The Green shirts maintained lead till the end of first half.

In the second half of the match both the teams scored one goal each closing the game at 4-1.

Mohammad Dilber scored two goals while Umar Bhatta and Mohammad Irfan posted one goal each for Pakistan.

Pakistan will now take on New Zealand on May 7.
