‘A dream come true’ debutant Mohammad Waseem Jr

Bridgeridgetown: T20I debutant for Pakistan against West Indies, Mohammad Waseem Jr’s dream has come true to represent his country.

Speaking in a video released by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), Waseem said he played every single game in domestic and PSL with an aim to make his place in the national squad.

“It’s an honor for me that today I got a T20I cap for Pakistan. Babar Bhai came to me and told me that I will be playing the first match against West Indies. I can tell you how much happy I am right now,” he said.

“I worked really hard to reach this stage. Every domestic match and PSL I played to make my place here. My family and friends are happy and I hope to make my debut memorable,” he added.

Waseem said he follows England’s all-rounder Ben Stokes and wants to meet him. “I follow Stokes, he is my favorite player. Unfortunately, I wasn’t in the ODI squad which played against England otherwise I would have met him. I hope to see him soon and get some tips from him,” he concluded.
