Abid Ali to join test team as Haris’s replacement

Right-handed batsman Abid Ali finally got a call to join Pakistan test team as a replacement of Haris Sohail who was ruled out of the remaining tour of South Africa with a knee injury on Wednesday.

Ali, who made headlines after a scintillating knock of 134 runs in the final of recently concluded Quaid-e-Azam trophy, will join the test squad in Cape Town as soon as possible.

He has so far played 102 test scoring 6700 runs at a decent average of 38.28. Ali also has 17 centuries and 31 fifties in First-Class cricket.

It is pertinent to mention here that Pakistan will face South Africa in their second test of three-match series in Cape Town from tomorrow (December 3). The hosts are 1-0 up against the demotivated visitors.
