Abid Ali and Saad Ali have got a maiden call in the final XI against Australia due to unavailability of the stand-in captain Shoaib Malik and opening batsman Imam-ul-Haq for the fourth ODI against the Aussies.
According to the team management, Malik got injured during the third ODI while Imam, who scored 46 runs in the last encounter, is going through high fever since last night. All-rounder Imad Wasim will lead the side in the absence of Malik.
Abid has a decent average of 38.66 in his List A career after scoring 3209 runs in 91 matches so far while Saad Ali, on the other hand, has scored 1705 runs in 49 innings at an average of 46.08.
It is pertinent to mention here that Pakistan have already lost the five matches ODI series against Australia 3-0 with two more to go. The team management had decided to give rest to their frontline players including the regular captain Sarfraz Ahmed.
