Academy for female cricketers to be established in Karachi soon

The man who is known as Asian Bradman, Zaheer Abbas said on Tuesday that girls were showing great interest in the game of cricket and are eager to get on the field.

Pakistan’s batting great, who is representing Punjab Sports Board, was talking to National Press Club (NPC), talked about establishing academies dedicated to female cricketers soon in Karachi.

“Our first priority is to promote and encourage the game of cricket in the country,” said Zaheer.

He added: “We want cricket to be get more encouragement in Punjab. Yesterday, I inaugurated an academy in Rawalpindi and more academies will also be set up in Lahore, Sialkot and Multan.”

Former ICC President also stated that the best coaches would be hired for these academies, “I believe the game of cricket would see more development in the country in the next three years.”

Zaheer Abbas also promised that talented young cricketers will also be brought to the fore.
