PCB chairman Shahryar Khan has stated that if the accused players, Sharjeel Khan and Khalid Latif, are found guilty of match fixing, they will be subject to harshest of punishments .
Shahryar Khan talked to media outside the PCB headquarter and told that Anti-Corruption Unit will listen Khalid and Sharjeel’s point of view as it is important to hear their part of story before giving a giving verdict.
“We are listening to Sharjeel and Latif’s perspectives as well. It is necessary to listen to their side of the story. After that we will decide what action to take against them, but I can assure you that they will be subjected to the harshest of punishments [if found guilty],” said Khan.
As per the PCB boss, the accused duo will be given one or two weeks to submit their answers. Afterwards, they will decide about the judicial tribunal under a judge, however, if they confess their act, they will not form any judicial tribunal.
