KABUL: Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) has confirmed that their men’s team has started training here on Wednesday for upcoming ODIs against Pakistan.
According to ACB’s spokesperson Farid Hotak, the Afghanistan team has started preparations for ODIs against Pakistan. They are waiting for flights operations to resume from Afghanistan.
“Afghanistan is training in the capital Kabul to better prepare for ODIs. The ACB is fully prepared for the tour and waiting for the flights to be resumed,” he said.
Earlier, there were rumors that Afghanistan will postpone the ODI series against Pakistan after the Taliban took over the charge. But, ACB clarified that the recent development will not affect cricket activities in Afghanistan.
Afghanistan will host Pakistan in Hambantota, Sri Lanka from September 1-5. The series schedule will come out soon.
