Afridi advises PCB to give a serious thought before taking any decision regarding the accused players’ return.
Reffering to M.Asif, Salman Butt and M.Aamir’s return, the captain of T 20 National team Shahid Afridi has advised the PCB to make an informed decision, as it might affect the future generations to bear its consequences.
While talking to the media in Karachi, Shahid Afridi expressed his views and said that the board needs to adopt a positive and constructive strategy concerning the three players.
Unfortunately the curse of Spot and match fixing have tarnished the image of good cricket and anyone involved in doing so should be penalized accordingly. As far as Asif, Salman and Aamir are concerned, I think the PCB needs to be very careful in deciding their return and rehabilitation program and must draw a clear and constructive strategy to help benefit the future young cricketers.
Upon the return of these cricketers in field, it should be ensured that such actions do not take place in Pakistan cricket in future. He said it would be good if a timely positive decision is taken and implemented otherwise the future generations will bear its consequences.
