Pakistan’s former star allrounder, Shahid Afridi is to get a lap of honour by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) before the start of the final T20 between Pakistan and World XI.
Boom Boom announced his retirement during the second edition of Pakistan Super League (PSL). The board earlier proposed a farewell for the legendary trio of Shahid Afridi, Younis Khan and Misbah Ul Haq, however, the first two turned down the proposal.
Afridi developed difference with the board in 2016, however, it has been heard that both the parties have agreed on a solution and the flamboyant allrounder will be honoured by the board today.
Former Test skipper, Misbah Ul Haq will accompany him in the lap of honour.
The ‘lap of honour’ is a fresh trend in the world of cricket, allowing audiences to send off their favourite players with a standing ovation.
