Uzbekistan defeated Pakistan by 6-5 on penalties in the final of the Street Child World Cup 2018 played in Russia on Wednesday.
In the first 90 minutes, both teams played with passion and did not give many chances away. The match was tied 1-1 at the end of full time and headed to a penalty shootout where Uzbekistan pulled ahead 6-5.
Earlier, in the 2 semifinals, Pakistan had defeated Indonesia on penalties, while Burundi were put down by Uzbekistan.
Pakistan captain Mohammad Abdullah was named Player of the Tournament for Boys competition.
The boys in green, however, will return with the silver medals as they reached their first-ever final.
