After being suspended by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) for failing a dope test, Pakistani opening batsman Ahmed Shehzad has been dismissed as captain of his Habib Bank Limited (HBL) team in the domestic circuit.
Shehzad was provisionally suspended by the PCB after he was found guilty of consuming ‘Marijuana’, a banned substance. His dope test was conducted during the Pakistan Cup 2018 in May.
He has also been excluded from the PCB’s new central contract for the players.
The right-handed batsman has represented Pakistan in 13 Tests, 81 One-Day Internationals (ODI) and 57 T20 internationals.
