A three-day International Sports Press Association (AIPS) Asia Youth Reporters Training Workshop kicked off in Karachi on Monday.
The Sports Journalists Association of Sindh (SJAS) in collaboration with AIPS Asia has organized this fruitful event for the young journalist of the country.
As many as seven young sports journalists from Afghanistan, Iran and Nepal attended sessions on the first day of the event alongside plenty of local sports journalists hailing from Islamabad, Karachi, Peshawar, Quetta, and FATA.
The former Minister for Sports and Patron SJAS, Dr. Syed Junaid Ali Shah and Senior Sindh Minister, Nasir Hussain Shah were the chief guests on the occasion.
Shah welcomed the participants and thanked AIPS Asia for organizing such an informative event which will help young journalists gain basic knowledge.
“I would like to thank AIPS for organizing this event in Pakistan which is a great opportunity for the young journalist to gain exposure,” he said.
Nasir said that this sort of events should take place on regular basis to provide ample exposure to the young journalists of Pakistan.
“It is a great initiative to provide basic knowledge about journalism to young journalists of Pakistan,” he said.
