London: Ace Pakistani tennis star Aisam-ul-Haq has qualified for the semifinal of Wimbledon 2016 along with his partner from Kazakhstan Yaroslava Shvedova.
The pair of Shvedova and Aisam-ul-Haq defeated Marcin Matkowski and Katarina Srebotnik in the quarterfinal on Thursday. Aisam and Shevedova won the first set by 6-3 but their opponents made a fine comeback by winning the second set with the same scoreline. Although both the teams fought hard to win the third set and the match but the Pakistani star along with his partner sealed the deal by winning the decisive set by a margin of 7-5. The match lasted for one hour and fifty minutes.

Aisam and Shvedova will face R. Farah and A-L. Groenefeld in the semifinal of the event which will be Aisam’s second semifinal appearance in Wimbledon after the first one in 2014.
