London: Pakistan’s Aisam-ul-Haq Qureshi will play his first round match in the doubles event of the Wimbledon 2016 alongside his Brazilian partner Marcelo Demoliner. The duo will be up against the Austrian/ Russian pair of Julian Knowle and Artem Sitak.

It will be the 11th time Aisam will represent Pakistan on the grass court and overall this will be his 36th Grand Slam appearance.

“I will do my best to put up an impressive show along with my partner and I look forward to an exciting challenge,” Aisam told APP from London on Tuesday.

Aisam and Demoliner will be playing their match on court 15 and are due to appear on court today barring any rain interruptions which have created havoc in this year’s Wimbledon.

Aisam’s best result at Wimbledon came back in 2010 when he reached the quarterfinal along with this Indian partner Rohan Bopanna.
