Pakistan’s ace tennis star Aisam-ul-Haq will be once again Pakistan’s only hope in this year’s French Open as he gear’s up to take part in the doubles’s event of the tournament where he will be partnered by Canada’s Daniel Nestor.
The duo is seeded number 14 in the tournament and their first challenge will be the unseeded pair of Cervantes and Lorenzi. This will be the 9th appearance for Aisam in French Open and so far his result at this grandslam came back in 2012 when he qualified for the semifinal of the doubles event alongside Jean-Julien Rojer but they were beaten by the powerful pair of the Bryan brothers.
Aisam-ul-Haq is currently aged 36 and is ranked 53rd on the ATP doubles rankings. He also holds the record of qualifying for the quarterfinal and final of the Wimbledon and US Open in 2010 which was perhaps his best year on the international circuit.
