DUBAI: South Africa captain AB de Villiers and Pakistani ace spinner Saeed Ajmal top the International Cricket Council (ICC) one day rankings, ARY Sports reports.
According to the fresh ODI rankings released by ICC, AB de Villiers tops the batsmen rankings while his team mate Hashim Amla is at second place. Kumar Sangakkara of Sri Lanka is third in the rankings.
No Pakistani batsmen could make it to the top ten positions. Green shirts captain Misbah-ul-Haq moved up to the 13th place.
Saeed Ajmal leads the bowlers rankings followed by Sunil Narine of West Indies and South Africa’s Dale Steyn.
It should be noted that Ajmal is leading the rankings despite facing a ban due to a suspected bowling action while Narine is not representing the Caribbean side in the ongoing World Cup in Australia and New Zealand .
Proteas top the team rankings while England is second and Australia is at the third spot.
