Saeed Ajmal exhibited his class in a Ramadan tournament at Hill Park Ground playing for Dollar East. The Magician took five wickets leaking just 22 runs in 3.1 overs driving his side to a win against Kaaf Engineering and a place in semi-final of the tournament.
Saeed Ajmal’s bamboozling off-spinners blended with Doosras restricted Kaaf Engineering team to a low total of 91 runs.
Aaqib Rizvi remained the highest scorer for Kaaf Engineering with a score of 36 runs off 23 deliveries, his innings comprised of three sixes and three fours. Adeel Ahmed scored 25 off 18 balls and Abdul Rauf managed 20 runs in the innings.
In reply, Dollar East weren’t comfortable at the crease as well as they chased down the target of 92 runs in 18.4 on the expanse of six wickets.
Former Pakistan’s test skipper, Salman Butt put 27 runs on the board on 37 balls, whereas, Khurram Shehzad remained not out on 32 runs on 31 deliveries.
Saeed Ajmal was awarded the man of the match award for his wonderful display of spin bowling.
Dollar East will face Ateeq Estates in the semi-final on Wednesday.
