Mayor Karachi Waseem Akhtar said that they have planned a surprise gift for Karachi Kings if they win the fourth edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) starting from February 14.
Akhtar while talking to the ARY News said that people of Karachi want Karachi Kings to change fortunes for them this time around and clinch the coveted title of the PSL 4.
“There will be a surprise gift for Karachi Kings on their title victory,” he said.
Akhtar supported Karachi Kings in all three season of the PSL and this time also he will be cheering for Kings and looking forward to seeing them holding the trophy at National Stadium Karachi (NSK).
“I am looking forward to that moment when Kings will be the new champions,” he said.
On the other hand, Akhtar assured to provide best possible facilities during the five matches scheduled at the NSK.
“The preparations would be better than last year’s final. We will decorate every single street of Karachi with lights and posters of players and will give a warm welcome to all the teams in the city of lights,” said Akhtar.
It merits mentioning here that PSL’s Pakistan leg will be comprised of last eight matches. Lahore will host three while Karachi has been given the hosting for five matches.
