Pakistan’s former skipper, Wasim Akram, as a member of cricket committee, has condemned the idea of Pakistan Cricket Board to decide team captain series by series.
Earlier, PCB spokesperson said that the board will announce captain of the team for each series and the captain for the Australia and England series will be decided after PSL.
“Captains are not decided series by series,” said Akram while talking to media on Friday. “If PCB is making any such decision, I am against it.”
One of the most prolific bowlers to ever play the sport, Wasim Akram yet again backed Sarfraz Ahmed for Pakistan’s captaincy and said that it is too late now to name a new captain.
“Sarfraz made a mistake and he is punished by the ICC, now PCB should make wise decisions,” he said regarding Sarfraz Ahmed’s racist comment saga.
Akram also stated that Ehsan Mani is still new as the chairman PCB and he will take time to understand different situations.
