Alarming sign for Haris and Yasir on not getting pick for PSL: Ramiz Raja

Renowned commentator and former captain Ramiz Raja has termed “alarming situation” for left-hander Haris Sohail and leg-spinner Yasir Shah who are not picked by any Pakistan Super League (PSL) franchise for season five.

While sharing views on his Youtube channel, former cricketer highlighted both the cricketers’ weaknesses and reasons why any of the franchise didn’t pick them.

“Haris Sohail has a problem of fitness and his fielding in T20 is not up to mark. He has very limited shots, do not improvise as other players of his calibre in middle-order and also he has not played any big innings that can become a reference point for him,” He said.

He said that Yasir Shah doesn’t have variety in bowling to make his case stronger.

“Yasir lacks variety as a leg-spinner and also his temperament in white-ball cricket is not high as compare to red-ball,” He added.

He pointed that despite their weaknesses, Pakistan thinktank would be quiet worried for both the star players.

“Selection committee would be worried because Haris Sohail currently a star in Test and ODI cricket and has also played two World Cups for Pakistan and same goes for Yasir as he has participated in past seasons. It’s a problematic situation for Pakistan cricket,” He concluded.
