Javed Maher, DIG Traffic Police Karachi, revealed the traffic plan during the scheduled matches of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) in Karachi.
“We have planned things to facilitate the fans in a best possible way,” said Maher while talking to the media.
Four parking areas have been developed at Expo Centre, Hakeem Saeed Ground, Federal Urdu University and Sunday Market while one at Dalmia road. Shuttle service will be available for the fans to reach the stadium.
Maher asked the ticket holders to bring original CNIC along with them as without it their entrance to the stadium would be impossible.
Streets including Karsaz to Hasan Square and Millenium Mall to Aga Khan Hospital will be closed during the matches. Shahrah-e-Faisal and Rashid Minhas Road will remain open for the traffic.
It is pertinent to mention here that a total of five matches including an all-important final of the PSL will take place in Karachi. The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and all law and enforcement agencies are confident for a successful stint of the league. The security plan for the matches has been finalised.
Karachi Kings and Peshawar Zalmi will reach Karachi on March 6 to play their first match on March 7 at newly renovated National Stadium.
