‘Always excited to take Rohit Sharma’s wicket’ Mohammad Amir

Karachi: Pakistan’s veteran fast bowler Mohammad Amir has revealed that he always gets excited to take Indian opener Rohit Sharma’s wicket.

The 28-year-old Amir and all-rounder Imad Wasim were the guests in ARY News’ “Sports Room” program and answered various questions of host Najib-ul-Hasnain.

“There are quite a few batsmen but I usually get excited to take Rohit Sharma’s wicket,” Amir said.

Amir on the National team’s emerging pacers Mohammad Hasnain and Naseem Shah added. “Both are excellent bowlers but I have been immensely impressed by Naseem’s bowling.”

Amir also revealed that it was difficult to take English batsman Jonathan Trott’s wicket. “When I toured England in 2010, it was very hard to take Trott’s wicket, currently ICC’s No.1 ranked Test batsman Steven Smith is hard to bowl,” he added.

On the other hand, Imad rated Amir as the “Best bowler in the world” and Virat Kohli as the best batsman.

When asked about the comparison of Sarfaraz Ahmed and Mohammad Rizwan, Imad said that both are respectively good wicket-keeper batsmen. He also revealed that India is the toughest to face as compared to Australia.
