Taunton: Mohammad Amir has announced his presence in England by getting two quick wickets against Somerset in Taunton during a side game.
The first batsman that Amir hunted was England’s veteran opener, Marcus Trescothic, bowling over-the-wicket, the ball just pitched in line and moved away slightly to get a nick of the left-handed batsman. Sarfraz Ahmed made no mistake behind the stumps and caught it diving t his left.

Adam Hose was the next batsman, who was rattled by the young left-arm pacer. Amir came around-the-wicket for the right-hander and bowled a quick paced inswinger that found the gap between Hose’s bat and pad to hit the timber.

Amir has bowled 6 overs, took 2 wickets and leaked 16 runs. Somerset was 56/3 till the lunch of second day of the three-day game.
Pakistanis posted a handsome total of 359/8d, Younis Khan was the standout performer with 104 runs, while Asad Shafiq scored an impressive 80 runs. The young left-handed opener, Shan Masood also posted a half-century, he got out after scoring 62 runs.
