Lahore: Former captain Wasi Bari says “Amir will need time to restore his rhythm. It’s very difficult to show outclass performance in any game after a comeback, Test cricket is a true test of your form and fitness. Right now, we should not expect too much from our pacer, Misbahul Haq’s support helped build Rahat’s confidence.”

According to details, former chief selector Wasim Bari says “It’s very difficult to show outclass performance after a comeback in any game. Even tennis players couldn’t do that, golfer Tiger Woods example is in front of you.” In an interview he said “Test cricket is a true test of any player’s form and fitness, therefore you can’t expect too much from Muhammad Amir, you couldn’t expect the pacer to take 5 wickets in the first Test match, he needs time to restore his rhythm.”

Wasim Bari said Rahat bowled well in the second innings and he has full support of his captain Misbah ul Haq which brought lot of confidence in him. The former captain said this time the wicket at Lord’s is quite slow as compared to the usual, both the teams failed to make a correct assessment therefore they faced fielding problems and catch drops.

In such a situation the slip-fielders should move slightly forward to get a chance to hold the ball dropping ahead. In England’s condition the ball can take a turn even after crossing the batsman therefore the wicketkeeper must be alert and keep an eye on the ball till the end. Sarfraz and Jonny Bairstow dropped catches because of their negligence, however if they try they can overcome difficulties in future.
