Watch: Anderson, Broad express their admiration of Akram’s great spell for Lancashire

Karachi: England’s fast bowling duo of James Anderson and Stuart Broad has expressed their admiration of former Pakistan great, Wasim Akram bowling while responding to a tweet of county club Lancashire.

Lancashire cricket shared one of the great spells of Akram in which he picked up five wickets while conceding 10 runs in just seven overs to secure a place for Lancashire in the Benson and Hedges Cup final in 1993 after a win against Leicestershire.

Anderson responded by posting heart-eyed emojis whereas Broad compared Akram’s reverse swing as of 1992 World Cup final.

“The same level of reverse swing as 92 WC Final except this time Neil Fairbrother is smiling.” Broad tweeted.

It must be noted that Akram is one of the greatest left-arm bowlers, Pakistan has ever produced. He represented Pakistan in 104 Tests and 356 ODIs while picking up 414 wickets and 502 wickets respectively.
