Another rebel cricket league around the corner in India

MUMBAI: The Essel Group which started the Indian Cricket League (ICL) is considering to launch another cricketing tournament in the future, reports.

According to an Indian news agency, top leadership of Essel Group held a meeting in Australia. A spokesman of the corporation has confirmed that the board is considering a new cricket league.

He claimed that Indian Premier League (IPL) is a copy of the format created by ICL. He also said that former IPL Chairman Lalit Modi had “confessed” that he was scared of the company’s idea of the cricket league.

He added that the details of the cricketing league will be announced later.

Another spokesman stated that the company is well aware of the hardships faced in the past and will be well prepared this time.

It should be noted that several Pakistani stars were a part of ICL as well.
