Bayern Munich’s winger, Arjen Robben, is aiming to return to the action in the DFB Pokal final on May 21st against Borussia Dortmund.
Roben has not played for Bayen since the 0-0 against Dortmund in the Bundersliga on 5th March. He has been training individually to recover from adductor injury that he has been suffering since last month.
The Dutch international has little hope of getting fit in time for the second leg of Champions League semi final against Atletico Madrid on May 3rd.
Hub Westhovens, the personal trainer of Dutch star told Sports Bild, “Arjen currently can do a lot of running and sprinting exercise,” he further stated, “I think that the return leg against Atletico is too early — we don’t want to rush anything. If everything goes according to plan, Arjen can resume team training by the end of this week or early next week.”
Personal trainer, Westhovens said that the cup final is a more realistic goal for Bayern’s winger. Robben can feature in the final for Bayern Munich if they pull off a win against Atletico Madrid in the semi final.
