Pakistan Army convincingly defeated Karachi United by a huge margin of 7-1 and claimed their 2nd consecutive National Women’s Football Championship title.
Army from the start of the game didn’t allow Karachi United to settle and scored goals in quick successions. Pakistan’s football star Hajra Khan scored in the third minute of the match. Eshal in the 25th minute, Alina in the 37th minute and Malaika in the 40th minute scored the goals.
At half-time, the Army were 4-0. Karachi United tried to counter in the second half and managed to score one goal courtesy Suha Hirani.
Aliza, Eshal and Alina, respectively in 80th, 81st and 90th minute scored and took the lead to 7-1 before the referee called off the game.
Wapda’s Mahpara Syed declared the best goalkeeper of the tournamnet. Army’s Soha Hirani declared the most valuable player and Sahar Zaman earned the Golden Boot Award. She scored the most goals (27).
Earlier, WAPDA claimed the third position by defeating Punjab 10-0.
