Ashfaq-led group calls PFF’s executive committee meeting


Lahore: Syed Ashfaq Hussain’s group has called an executive committee meeting of Pakistan Football Federation, ARY Sports reported.

According to details, the meeting will take place on Saturday at FIFA House in Lahore. Ashfaq-group opined that the meeting has been convened in accordance with Article 33 (2) of the Constitution of the Federation.

Chairman, deputy chairman of the standing committees will be appointed while football activities, budget for April to December 2021 will be approved. Important decisions will also be taken regarding PFF elections.

It must be noted that in March, the Ashfaq group forcefully took the charge from Normalisation Committee (NC), appointed by FIFA.

The world’s governing body of football initially suspended PFF, however, FIFA’s congress approved permanent suspension last week.
