Defending champion Asif eliminated from 12th Ranking Snooker Championship


Karachi: Defending champion Mohammad Asif has been eliminated from the finals of the 12th Ranking Snooker Championship after facing an upset loss from Mohammad Sajjad on Monday.

Former Asian champion Sajjad won the thrilling match by 6 frames to 4. Meanwhile, the first semi-final of the championship was played between Haris Tahir and Muhammad Bilal at the National Bank Sports Complex. In the 11-frame final, Haris Tahir qualified for the final by winning by 6 frames to 3.

It must be noted that Haris, hailed from Lahore, has qualified for the final of any tournament for the first time. The final will be played tomorrow.
