Australian cricket team depart for England to play limited-overs series


Sydney: Australian cricket team have departed for England to play three ODIs and as many T20Is, ARY Sports reported.

Australia last played an international match which was an ODI in March against New Zealand. The final two ODIs were postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Australia’s 21-man squad will initially quarantine in Derby due to the coronavirus pandemic before the first of three T20Is in Southampton on September 4 in empty stadiums. The three ODIs will be played in Manchester.

England is currently busy in playing the final Test against Pakistan. The three-match T20I series will start on August 28 in Manchester.
