Watch: Azhar Ali comes forward to contribute to COVID-19 relief efforts

Lahore: Pakistan’s Test captain Azhar Ali has announced to auction his triple-century bat and Champions Trophy’s shirt, the money will be utilized to help needy people in ongoing nationwide lockdown due to COVID-19.

In a video message, Ali said that both bat and the shirt are too close to his heart but he would love to utilise them in a good cause. “My triple-century bat and Champions Trophy’s shirt, having the signatures of the whole squad, is up for auction. I will try my best to gather as much money as I can and utilise it in helping needy people during the current situation,” he said.

PKR 1 million has been set as the base price for both the equipment. It must be noted here that Ali scored his only triple-hundred in 2016 against West Indies in Dubai.
