Azhar Ali’s triple-ton gives him his career highest ranking

Pakistan’s 50-over format skipper, Azhar Ali has jumped up to 12th spot in MRF Tyres ICC Test Player Rankings , which is the highest ranking of his career.

Azhar Ali was ranked at 17th position before his magical 302-inning that ultimately gave Pakistan a victory by 56 runs win in their 400th test and the first test under lights.

The 31-year old become the fourth Pakistani after Hanif Mohammad, Inzamam Ul Haq and Younis Khan to score a triple century.

His mesmerizing inning gave 62 points that put him ahead of his teammate Asad Shafiq, but, he is one rank below his test skipper, Misbah Ul Haq.

However, despite of missing the first test against West Indies, Younis Khan is still ranked at fifth spot.
